A Rich Banking History
From the Past Comes Wisdom for the Future
Our bank’s founder, John Wolf, believed in operating on a solid financial foundation, a trait that has stuck with Exchange State Bank through the years. When he founded our institution in 1878 with $50,000 (which at the time was worth ten times that amount compared to today’s standards), he created a bank that would stand the test of time.
Exchange State Bank has always been the picture of financial stability, having made it through President Roosevelt’s famous 10-day “bank holiday” in 1933 without a customer losing so much as a penny. As the years have gone on and the banking industry has continued to change, Exchange State Bank has continued to improve the services it offers to customers.
Today, we provide a variety of banking services for our customers’ diverse needs. From checking and savings accounts to CDs, IRAs and internet banking, as well as several loan options, we have solutions for your every banking need. And of course these services are delivered with the highest level of service, the kind that’s instilled in you after having been around for over 135 years.
Exchange State Bank and Lanark have come a long way since 1878, and we’re prepared to continue being your financial partner into the future. Get in touch with Exchange State Bank to help with your financial needs.
